Despite the good reviews I found this mystery rather boring and unbelievable. When I read about a character's " hooded eyes," I knew what to expect. The setting might have been interesting if they were not so focused on the roads from place to place. That might be fine is you know the setting, but I felt no need to trace every road on the island. The major trouble is that the details do not further the plot. When an author spends time on something in a mystery it should lead some where. I felt that even the central characters were gimmicks and not believable. Even the title has little to do with the story.Product details

I love Victoria and I know I would love to be at Martha's Vineyard. Cynthia Riggs writes such good books in this series. I look forward to the next one. Victoria is great. She so memorable as are the other people in this book. If you want a good mystery, try this book and you would probably - no, for sure, you would be hooked on Cynthia Riggs.
The title did not quite fit the book's contents, but I liked it very much. I look forward to reading more of Cynthia Riggs' novels. The use of a 95 year old lady detective is quite fun and adds interest to the novel.
Looking forward to enjoying another Martha's Vineyard mystery.

I am new to this author and love this series. My disappointment came when I found that I could not get all of them for my . I just downloaded the next one available in the series that I can get for the and looking forward to reading it.
Enjoyable, light reading. Came across series while searching for books about the Vineyard. Was interesting to match Ms. Riggs descriptions of the island with the localities we visited.
